ABOUT

Music starts with listening.

Damian Calle

I am Damian Calle, an Argentine multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and teacher with more than twenty years of experience.

I produce artists from around the world, write original music for film and animation, do sound design and foley, and offer professional mixing and mastering.

My scoring work includes the feature film “Once Upon a Dream” (USA, 2025, dir. Rasul Ramji, Escape Films USA) and the animated series “Ameka and Her Magical Crown” (USA, 2024, dir. Tamecca S. Rogers), screened at the Bare Bones International Film and Music Festival, along with the animated shorts “The Meaning of Life,” “Andy,” and “Shelly and the Golden Shell,” among others.

I produce independent international artists including Jay Ssandri (USA), Franco Rivers (Netherlands), Kenzi Mac (USA), Bauhinia Yong (Japan) and Bernadette Blumen (Denmark).

As a recording artist, I released the albums “Escalera” (special mention from Argentina's National Arts Fund), “Madrugadas” and “Siete noches,” the EP “Los elementos,” and my neoclassical piano project under the name Elian Luca.

As a researcher and author, I translated Jean-Philippe Rameau's treatises on harmony into Spanish — supported by a grant from Argentina's National Music Institute — published an article in the journal Música e Investigación (Carlos Vega National Institute of Musicology), and presented at the Sorbonne Université (Paris) and UNSAM (Buenos Aires).

I was a lead professor of Applied Harmony and Musical Language at the Tres de Febrero Choral and Musical Expression School. I now work from Merlo, San Luis, and collaborate remotely with artists, directors and studios across time zones.
